Here are two of Lance's fellow Border Collies showing off the skills Lance had been born with but robbed of fully developing during the first 10 years of his life because of cruel fate. Nonetheless, as described in Lance: A Spirit Unbroken, despite all the isolation and abuse, he retained a quick wit, agility and endurance that he got to show off during his "second life" with his rescuers.
